Shipping, payment & returns
Shipping is calculated at checkout. We use Canada Post and other major courier services (such as Canpar in Canada or DHL, UPS, FedEx) to source the most competitive price.
Local pickup: you can opt to pick up your order at our Toronto showroom located at 266 Jane St ( few block north of Bloor, with nearby easy and free street parking) to avoid shipping charges. We will call or email you to coordinate a pickup time once your order has been processed.
We aim to fulfill ready-made orders within 1-3 business days while made-to-order will aim to ship within 1 week. Shipping times vary depending on the location that the order is being shipped to, typically 24 hours within Toronto, 48 hours within GTA, and approximately 7-10 business days elsewhere in Canada and the US for standard shipping. You can also pay to have us express an order in 2-3 business days. Contact us with any special request.
NOTE for our US customers: current regulations allow Canadian companies to ship to anywhere in the US up to US$800 worth of merchandise free off Canadian sales tax (no GST), free of brokerage fee, free of duties and local sales tax. So the CDN$ prices posted on our web site + shipping correspond to the final cost you will incur for your orders under US$800.
On international shipments outside USA & Canada, additional fees, duties, and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient upon delivery.
Maison-Basque is not responsible for lost or stolen packages when standard shipping is used as it is neither insured nor tracked.
This December, we aim to fulfill your order as expediently as possible until December 22, 2017. Our showroom will close from December 23, 2017, until January 12, 2018, and then our regular shipping schedule will be in effect again.
We accept most credit card payments and can also receive bank deposits prior to shipping such as an Interac type of payment from our Canadian clients.
We do not accept returns on any made-to-order items nor on yardage/meter purchases.
New and unwashed/unused ready-made items purchased online domestically are eligible for an exchange or store credit as long as they are returned in perfect shape and can be offered for sale again to future clients. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, order number, and the reason for the return.
The client is responsible for the cost of shipping merchandise back to Maison-Basque unless the item has been damaged before or during delivery or there has been some other mistake on our end. Maison-Basque must receive the returned merchandise within 15 days of the delivery and all original tags or special packaging, if applicable, must be attached or enclosed. We cannot and will not take responsibility for items returned to us without us being notified first and/or items that are returned by a shipping alternative where you cannot trace the package. Returns are discretionary upon inspection of the item once received by us. If you need a longer return period please send an email to email@example.com as we are willing to make exceptions in certain circumstances. Returns will be processed in 3-5 business days upon receipt of the return. For an exchange, clients are to follow the same administrative steps as for a return. Clients are responsible for shipping
